How do I make an appointment, and when can I come in?

Please call, text, email or submit the enquiry form on the contact page to find a time! Saturday appointments generally book up quickly, and weekdays you can find a time sooner if your schedule is more flexible. Let us know your preferred days or dates so we can work with this. Appointments are available Tuesdays - Saturdays, and occasional Mondays. Some public holidays are open by appointment. A deposit of $100 is required to secure your appointment. 

How long does that tattoo last?

The feather touch brow tattoo is semi permanent. The benefits last for between 9-24 months (plus) depending on skin type, lifestyle choices, and beauty regimes. Over time the pigment will begin to fade; the colour lightens and areas may appear to have faded. Existing clients - you may return for a refresh when you feel your brows are fading, or if you like to stay on top of colour and maintain the results. This refresh is at a discounted price before 24 months. This also applies to freckle, eyeliner & lip tattooing, although the results can last for 2 years+ in eyes & lips.

 

How do I care for my new cosmetic tattoo?

You will be provided with a Bepanthen aftercare cream at your appointment. This should be applied with a clean cotton tip to your brows morning, midday & before bed in a light layer, not thick & white. Avoid saturating your brows in water for a five days, no cleansers or makeup on the area for one week, and avoid rubbing or picking them. Colour may appear to wipe away on the cotton tip as you apply the cream, and there can be a few hair strokes that form a very soft scab and fall away in that first week. This also applies for eyes & lips, although lips need to be constantly moisturised with the aftercare cream every couple of hours. 

What should I bring with me or do before my appointment?

There is no need to pluck/thread/wax or groom your brows before your appointment. If you have very full brows and like to constantly keep them tidy, or have very fair brows and like them tinted a certain shade, you can do this prior to your appointment to demonstrate the colour or way your groom them. You may also wear brow pencil or powder to your appointment, but this will be wiped away and time will be spent measuring and shaping your brows. Your brows will also be plucked and shaped during your appointment, so please feel comfortable arriving makeup free and ready for a new enhancement!

I am travelling from another state. Should I come to the touch up appointment?

We love having travelling clients! It is important to remember it takes two appointments to complete your brows or cosmetic tattoo. If any areas fade a little more then the rest, or you would like to do any minor adjustments, then we recommend you make your follow up appointment. The period will be between 4-6 weeks after your first appointment. If you miss this follow up timeframe you will still be eligible for a refresh appointment. Please see the pricing for the refresh appointments  on the 'Services' page. 

I had my brows tattooed by another technician, and only need a touch up. Will you do this?

We would love to make an appointment for you! If this was done by another technician, this will be a new client appointment with Melissa Brockfield. The time will be spent to re-measure, redraw and reshape your brows during your consultation, ultimately reworking another technicians job. We do request a photo to be sent upon enquiry if they have been previously tattooed by another technician to ensure the desired result can be achieved.

 

Can I bring my child/friend/mum/partner to the appointment?

We understand that you are very excited about your appointment (we are also excited to see you!), or even a little nervous, but we do request that the appointment is private. The focus is all about you and what you want to gain from coming, and sometimes other people, especially children, can become a distraction; for both you & for us. There are comfortable chairs in the reception area, but it can get very busy! We thank you in advance for this.

 

Do you have a cancellation policy? 

We understand that life can get in the way of appointments sometimes. As we are extremely busy and are accomodating our lovely clients, trying our best to give everyone their desired appointment times, we appreciate 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a new or a touch up appointment. Please simply text or email to notify us. Your $100 deposit for your new appointment, or your complimentary touch up appointment is forfeited if cancelled without medical reason in the 48 hour period. If your complimentary touch up appointment is cancelled within 24 hours a touch up fee of $100 for your next appointment, as per the services schedule, will apply. We thank you for your respect, and will work as best we can to reschedule your times.
